Thomas Weekend

Jaxton has been counting down for the last month and a half for memorial weekend. Grandma T gave Jax tickets to go ride Thomas up in Heber and he has been anxiously waiting the day. On Saturday we got to see Thomas up close and personal and Jax was in heaven. His little eyes lit up when we boarded Thomas and he started to move. It was only about a 30 min trip over all we went down the track about a mile and then came back but that is all that Jax needed. He had so much fun and there was so much to do. We got our picture with Sir Topham Hat, then we headed over to get a tattoo, balloon animals and even went to the gift shop where Jax picked up some Thomas flip flops. We all had a blast THANKS Grandma T for the great weekend!

WE are finally here!

Preschool Grad

Maddison is officially a preschool Graduate!! She is ready for kindergarten and asks me every day when is it time to go. She did great at the preschool graduation they sang songs and then told something about them and Maddison is a great helper and she tries to solve problems before going to the teacher. She sat the whole graduation with her head in her hands looking as if she was bored to death until the songs and she jumped right up there and shook her money maker to the max. She was movin and grooving to some of the songs it was so fun to see her up there having fun. I can’t believe my little girl is going to kindergarten I already am having a hard time with that!

Houston

We went to Houston last week because Dave's team that he was working with was nominated for the RNASA Steller Award. We went to Houston on Thursday and when we arrived at the airport the Cow on the Moon greeted us. I laughed so hard it was really funny. You will see it in the collage picture above. Then we checked into our hotel and Dave was so proud when he came back from the desk and said guess what floor we are on the 28th. This would have been wonderful if 1. I was not afraid of heights and 2. the elevators were not glass and you could see everything! Then met up with Brad and Emily for dinner at an Italian restaurant Zio's. It was so great to see them and visit with them. We loved the tour around the town and still are jealous of the gym that they have in their town.

Then on Friday we got up and got on the bus and went to the Johnson Space Center and took a tour. On our Tour we went to the Buoyancy Center this is how they get the astronauts to know what it feels like to be in space. The big pool that was 40 ft deep and above ground 102 ft wide and 202 ft long. While we were there we saw them hook up an astronaut in training and send them in the water. Then we went over to the Training Center and saw the replicas of the space station and the shuttle. This helps them train and know how to fix things. Then off to mission control where we saw how they talk to the astronauts in space it was really neat. After the tour we went to lunch at the Hilton and then back home to get dressed for the fancy dinner.

At 6:30 we went to the award dinner where there was amazing food and great company. Those up for an award were 151 nominees and 30 nominees in the team division that Dave was in. Unfortunately Dave's team did not win but we sat by a an astronaut and a trainer and loved hearing their stories about going into space. It was a great get away and we had a lot of fun! Thank you mom for taking the rug rats and whipping them into shape!

Got Holes?

What is wrong with these pictures? If you said they both have holes in the shoes you are correct. Now how did these get into the shoes is the fun part. It is what we call Scooter Racing and it is the favorite pastime of my children as you can see by their shoes! Now that the weather is warming up they are out and about on their scooters. They can scooter race for hours on end and they even come up with tricks that they can do on them. They jump them and they skid them and they can go really fast on them too! Yes we do go through a ton of shoes but I have wised up and now they have to wear the same pair of shoes every time they scooter race. I am thinking about getting duck tape and putting it on the toes to keep their piggies from getting all beat up! We shall see!

I'm on a kick again

Well I get on these little kicks that my husband likes to call fling of the week and rolls his eyes at because when I get on one it consumes me. All I do is think about for about a week or two and then it is over and what we have left are a few finished projects and a lot of left over scraps. (I got to excited I was not thinking clearly and cut a hole right in the middle of the fabric that is why we always have a lot of scraps but we wont talk about that)This time it is dresses. I got hooked when I went to the blog Make it and Love it and saw how to make this dress and I thought hey I can do that. So i dusted off the good old sewing machine and went to town and this is what I came up with. Mama "T" would be so impressed! I took Maddison to the fabric store and she picked out the fabric herself! I made one for Brynlee and one for Maddison.
