The passing of loved ones

 Dave's Dad passed the night before Thanksgiving. It was hard that goodbyes could not be said and that it happened so fast. But he is in a much better place and now the worries of a frail and diseased body are now behind him. The funeral was on Tuesday and the services were wonderful. We have many memories of him and he will be missed.

A Hunting We Will Go

 When October comes around the kids are constantly asking when they will get to go with dad and shoot a deer. So when they came home from school I told them to go get their orange on because when dad got home they were going hunting! They were so excited you can't tell by Maddison's happy face but she was excited too. They went out three times. The first time they saw a few deer then Dave took just Jaxton hiking up to White Rock. White rock is where jaxton has wanted to hike all summer and finally he got to go and made it to the top. He did such a great job! Then Dave took them both out and hiked to the top of  the I mountain. Dave told them to pretend they were deer and just start going up the mountain. Well that was all fun and games on the way up but they ran into some difficulty on the way down. It was a little steep and slippery but after making a train and taking baby steps they were able to make it back down. They kids had a blast and quite the adventure. They saw a lot of deer but none they could shoot. I am not going to lie I am glad the only thing they brought back were the great memories!

The Dentist

 Brynlee's first visit to the dentist was a hit! I was really nervous and all the way there I kept telling her "Ok so they are just going to brush your teeth". She kept telling me yep, yep like she knew and I am sure she did but still i was nervous. We got there Maddison went first and then the said well she is so little we won't clean her teeth but I asked Brynlee if she wanted them to and she said yep. So we put her on the table and they put in the headphones so she could listen to the movie and the rest was history. The cleaned her teeth and took x-rays and then gave her a new toothbrush and it was a success! She was such a big kid.

Brynlee is 2!

Brynlee is TWO!! She is two and in control. She loves to tell people what to do, poor jax thinks he has 3 moms. A few facts about Brynlee.....
She hates balloons and thinks are automatically pop
She does not like candles so u can imagine how fun blowing out the candles on her birthday was; yep she was scared to death.
She does like Mickey Mouse club house and doc Mcstuffins,
She love to do whatever the big kids do.
When she is talking to you she says "so" while she gathers her thoughts and thinks up another story to tell.
She loves to say "shake your body, shake your body" and does these little Moves that is so funny.
She loves to say " mom come here, right now" and she will say over and Over until I get there.
When she gets really excited she starts to gallop/ skip.
She loves food and is not to picky she will eat a lot of things as long as it has flavor if it does not have flavor she will say ew yuck and throw it on the floor.
She loves to sing
She loves her Grandpa Rory and every day she tells me she has to go to his house.
She is so fun I can't believe that she is two. We are so grateful for her!

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween!! Well a week ago I am just a little slow! So Jax was of course iron man and Brynlee was Tinker bell and Maddison was a Punk Rock Skeleton. They had a blast going trick or treating and Brynlee did not want to go home. She kept saying mom one more house I get chocolate. yep that girl thinks like her mamma. Jax went to a few houses and then called it quits he was i think a little under the weather and Maddison was going going going she her and Brynlee could have gone all night if we would have let them. I on the other hand am completely out of shape and once around the block and I was ready to call it a night. It was a great day and a wonderful night for Halloween!

5+1=6

Yep it is true 5+1=6 which is how big our family is going to be March 15th. We are having another little peanut and we r so excited. We placed bets on what it was going to be, i was going to try and not find out but I just get so excited and what to start shopping so of course we found out. Maddison wanted a girl and Jax requested a boy and Brynlee well she is just excited its a baby:) We are having............ A Boy!!! Yahoo!!! I think I was the most excited now don't get me wrong love my girls but Jax needed something more than pink nail polish and tutus. I have a name picked out but not sure if Dave likes it. But hopefully in 5 months it will grow on him:)

Big girl bed

I decided to transform Brynlees crib into the toddler bed she had been requesting to sleep on the floor every night for a week and I am tired of lifting her out of bed soooo..... Hello big girl bed! The first night she tricked us and slept right through the night and then the last few night she has asked to sleep on the floor so we let her think she is going to sleep on the floor but put her in bed before we go to bed. This has worked a few times but last night she was crying and I was to tired to get out of bed but her cry became more desperate so I went in and could not find her. She had rolled out of bed and under Maddisons bed and could not get out. Poor peanut was trapped so I grabbed her legs pulled her out and put her back on bed and she had no problems the rest of the night!

Since Maddison has gone back to school these two play it is so fun to watch them play and the things they come up with.

I love to see the temple

We went to the Brigham city temple open house and of course we forgot the camera :( but I did get a few on the phone but not of the whole group. We had the opportunity to go twice and we went on a Thursday and no one was hardly there it was a great experience and we went through and I asked Dave at the end of the tour where the brides room was and he said it was back by the dressing rooms. That was one room I wanted to see so we went back up to the dressing rooms and it was closed off but I asked the lady if we could seek back there and take a look. She said we could and we were able to take maddison and jax in the room and we were so lucky that they were able to see that room because they did not let people back there on busy days. Which Saturday was when we took the whole crew through. I did have the opportunity to clean the temple one night. My group was the lucky group and got to clean the floor where the brides room was. It was such a great experience and then we had a special tour that took us thought he temple and explained a few more things in detail. Like the japanese grass in the wall paper. The tiles on the celing were put on one by one and my fsvorite fact that to cut the designs in the carpet they had wool carpet and a guy would come in draw the design with magic marker and then take hair clippers and cut the design in the carpet. It was absolutely amazing. Oh I could have stayed there for ever.

Wicked

After waiting 9 years I finally or to go to wicked and it was amazing!!! We went the family and it was such a great show!!! Defiantly worth the wait! We dropped the kids off at my brothers house and went to the brio Tuscan grill for dinner and then to the show. It was a great date night.

Jaxtons First day of Preschool

Jaxton has been so excited to go to preschool and the day finally came. He asked every hour when it was time to go and I was excited to tell him that it was. We picked him up and he had alot to tell us. He had a great day and can't wait to go tomorrow.

First Day of School

It's that time of year when the moms rejoice when it is finally time to go back to school. I was that mom until yesterday when I realized that Maddison is at school all day. I was holding back the tears trying to act brave walking her into school and to her class and then i got to the car and lost it. Yes I am a boob i will be the first to admit it. I can't believe that she is in first grade. She loved the first day of school not exactly the fact that she has to wear uniforms but she loved having lunch with her friends and that they have a tarantula as a class pet. I think she is going to have a lot of fun at the charter school this year. I mean who wouldn't, a tarantula as a class pet. Need I say more.

Stewart Falls

A week or so ago we went up and stayed at a cabin in Sundance with family and we had so much fun. when we told the kids where we were going they cheered right away because they knew that their 'Cousins" were going to be there and that it has a slide down stairs. We just stayed the night and the next day Jax, dave, Brynlee and I hiked up to Stewart falls. Maddison decided to stay behind because she was having a grumpy day;) It was a short yet perfect hike and the reaction Jaxton had when we got there was worth it. He was so excited yet did not want to get close to it.

Park City

While Dave went to Lake Powell we decided we would have our own fun so Friday we went down to the county and when up to park city in the alpine slide and then we met up with my grandma who was camping in midway for dinner. The mini trip was a blast and the kids loved the slide:)
