She is finally home!!!

Thank you for all your prayers that were offered in our behalf we have felt such a great peace as we have gone through this experience and can't tell you how much we appreciate it. Brynlee is a huge fighter it seemed that she changed from worse to better so fast. It was last Thursday that she still had the tube in for her pneumo and the x-ray showed a little air but not much but still there was air then friday she changed dramatically the doctor was shocked at how fast she was healing and getting better. It was Friday afternoon that they took the tube out and then Saturday morning they removed the oxygen and the IV's came out. He was amazed. She is now home with us and we are so excited

She is here!!!

Brynlee Roe is here she weighed 7lbs 7 oz and 21 inches long. She is such a doll. It was a quick labor we went in Sunday around 7:00 to be checked thinking they would just send us home but they decided to get the party started and had her at 12:38 A.M. She had trouble breathing at first so they kept her in the special nursery for a few hours until she was stable and then we got to love on her for the rest of the day. My family came to the hospital Monday night to see her and that is when the crazyness started. They were about to leave and we noticed that Brynlee was not looking very well she was turning purple. So the nurse came in we asked her about it and that is when she whisked her away and that was the last time I got to hold my little baby. Since then she has been in the NICU in one of those little plastic boxes that keeps them all snuggly and warm. We found out that she has Pneumothorax which is when air leaks from the lungs and is trapped between the lungs and the chest wall. She is still not doing very well and we are unsure when she will get to come home. This is one of the hardest things that I have ever had to go through. All those mom's who have had to have baby's in the NICU my heart goes out to you. To see your baby in pain and suffering and not able to pick her up give her hugs and kisses and tell her it is going to be ok is the worst thing. She is a fighter and I know that we will get through this but I also know that the road ahead is a long one.

pumpkins

We went to the "Pumpkin Guys" house. Dave carpools with a guy that has a huge garden and he grew a ton of pumpkins and said we could come over to get some and our kids call him the "Pumpkin Guy" now. They had a blast looking through his garden to find a pumpkin.

Jax just wanted a little pumpkin so we found a small squash and let him take it home

Peach Days

Peach Days was a few weeks a go and I am a little slow but it was quite an adventure. I woke up with pink eye and not feeling very well and that put a huge kink in the day.

Dave ran the 10k and he did a great job so great that we walked up and saw that he had already finished the race. Shoot one strike for me. Maddison was in the parade doing some cheers and she did a great job! We sat with our friends and Grandma T came up to join us and boy were we grateful that she did. She helped the kids get tonz of candy. It was another great peach days extravaganza!

First Day of Preschool

Yeah the day finally came that Maddison was able to go to preschool. She was asking me every day if that day was the day to go to preschool. She was every excited and so was Jax because he thought that he was going too so he grabbed a backpack and a pair of socks and he was ready. We walked Maddison to school and then to Jax dismay he could not go in with her and boy was he mad. But after a few Oreos and some markers we smoothed things over. My favorite was when Maddison got home and I asked her if she had anything in her back pack and she told me there was some panties in there and I thought to myself wow she is getting an education and free underwear, or that it was a wild day at preschool. I must of made a weird face because she started to laugh and I asked her if she got the underwear from preschool and she laughed even harder and told me they were in there already. Oops next time we will check the new backpack before we head to school next time!

Daddy Day

I went to swiss days this weekend and Dave and the kids had a blast while I was gone. They drove to the top of the mountain to inspiration point and had a picnic, then they went searching for deer, and then they came home and grabbed their fishing poles and went fishing. Then to top off the day they set the tent up in the back yard and slept outside. They have such a great dad they did not even notice I was gone.
