The Orange Hat

My kids love this orange hat especially Jax. He will run into Maddisons room, put it on and comes out gets our attention so we can tell him how handsome he is. They love it and fight over it all the time. We got this hat from a neighbor who had a big bag of things to take DI. So now this great hat has found a home!!

Escalante

We went to Escalante on the 24th of July for the yearly Griffin Reunion. We had a great time and this year we mixed it up a bit we went to fish lake and camped Thursday night. Then rolled into Escalante on Friday and had a great family reunion!! Here is a list of our favorite things.......
1. Camping at fish lake and having Jax start a screaming attack around 1:00a.m.
2. Jax's first time sleeping in a tent!! We called it Hotel Anderson because the tent was HUGE!! Thanks Holly and Jordan for letting us borrow it.
3. Maddison spending some Daddy Daughter time and learning how to fish.
4. The fun swings at the park on the way down.
5. Playing with the Cousins which Maddison is still talking how fun her cousins are.
6. The parade that goes down and come back and supplies us with loads of candy.
7. The wet tee shirt contest that Grandma "T" and I had..... we went all out and ran in front of the fire truck to have them squirt us with the huge fire hose!! (the best part of the parade is the fire truck that squirts water everywhere) Something that is a must once in your life time!!
7. Going to Calf Creek and playing in the water and having dinner.

Dance class

Maddison is in dance and it has been really interesting to see how she does in a class setting. She moves to the beat of her own drum. When she wants to dance she will and if she doesn't then she just stands there. She does not always stay on the mat and listening to the teacher is another hard thing for her to do.
I don't know if she likes it or not but she loves going to see Ellie.

The 4th of JULY

We had a wonderful fourth of July we ran the Freedom 5k in the morning and we did ok. Dave kicked my butt his time was 26min and I was ten minutes behind him at 36. Everyone in my family except my brother, who was watching the kids, ran the race. My parents ran the 10 k and Atty Dave and I ran the 5. It was so much fun. Then we went to the Lindon pool, by the way is the best city pool I have ever been to, we had a blast and ran into a lot of people we knew! We ran into the Andersons and my old friend from high school Trina it was so good to see them. Then it was off the the Clarks annual BBQ which always has yummy food and it was good to see all the Fam!! We had a great time!!

5 years!!!!

It was our 5 year anniversary on July 1st!! Whaoo!! It has been a great 5 years and looking forward to many more!! Thank for putting up with me Dave!!

YELLOWSTONE!!!

You are right we went to Yellowstone this weekend. We had a blast!!Here is old faithful!! We had to wait for a very long time but it was great the kids loved seeing the water!!

We saw alot of animals from Buffalos to elk and Maddison's favorite chipmunks!! We did not see any bears but that is ok by me!!
